A 24-year-old male that was shot in the chest a Brampton parking lot late Friday night has been pronounced dead, police confirm.

The shooting happened at a parking lot on Lisa Street, in the Dixie Road and Queen Street area, at around 9 p.m.

The victim was without vital signs at the scene but was rushed to hospital, where he was pronounced dead. He has been identified by police as Kadeem Bascombe of Mississauga.

No descriptions of possible suspects have been released at this point.

Homicide detectives are investigating.
