An older man in a wheelchair was taken to hospital after being struck by a car in Scarborough on Sunday.
The incident occurred around 11 a.m. in the Eglinton and Falmouth avenues area.
Police initially said the victim, believed to be in his 80s, was being treated on scene by Toronto Paramedics for non-life-threatening injuries.
At around 12:30 p.m., paramedics said he was being taken to a trauma centre for a head injury and extremity fracture.
Eglinton Avenue is closed in both directions from Huntington to Falmouth avenues while officers investigate.
