One of the victims of a stabbing near Danforth Avenue and Dawes Road has died in hospital.

The man succumbed to his injuries after he was transported to St. Michael’s Hospital in critical condition following a double stabbing Monday.

A second male victim was found in the area and was transported to hospital in serious but stable condition.

Toronto police Sgt. David Dube said the stabbing may have happened following an altercation between the men.

Police say a “person of interest” is in police custody.

“Several witnesses pointed out a vehicle of interest and he was subsequently arrested,” Sgt. Dube told reporters.

No charges have been laid.
