A man died Saturday after being shocked by a live wire while atop an abandoned industrial building in Etobicoke.

Toronto EMS and Toronto Fire responded to a 1 a.m. call at an industrial building at 1061 The Queensway, between Islington and Kipling Avenues.

They found three men. One of them had touched a live wire and received an electric shock. He was taken to St. Joseph’s Health Centre in critical conditionwhere he later died.The other two men were assessed at the scene and released.

It’s not clear why the three men were on top of the abandoned building.

Toronto Hydro was called to the scene to disconnect and then re-energize the power.
