A man in his 20s has been charged more than a year after two teenagers were killed in Richmond Hill.

York Regional Police were called to 172 Centre St. E., east of Yonge Street, shortly after midnight on Jan. 8, 2014. When officers arrived, they found a vehicle in the parking lot with three victims inside.

Each victim was suffering from gunshot wounds, and one was pronounced dead on scene. The other two victims were rushed to hospital, where one succumbed to his injuries.

The two victims who died were later identified as Premier Hoang, 18, and Brenda Pathammavong, 16, both from Brampton.

After a months-long investigation, police announced Wednesday that a 24-year-old had been arrested.

Timothy Doug-Hyun Lee, 24, of Mississauga, has been charged with two counts of first degree murder and one count of attempted murder.

The investigation is ongoing, and police ask anyone with more information to contact them at 1-866-876-5423, ext. 7865, or Crime Stoppers anonymously at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).
