TORONTO - A 47-year-old man is facing charges in connection with a sexual assault case in Toronto dating back nearly 19 years.
Police say the woman was assaulted on Sept. 14, 1988, after being grabbed from behind and dragged off a Toronto street.
They say recent forensic developments have enabled investigators to lay charges.
Brian Clancy is charged with sexual assault with a weapon, assault, choking and threatening death.
He is scheduled to appear in a Toronto court on Sept. 13.
