Police have released security video in the hopes someone can identify two men wanted in a shooting investigation.

On Dec. 30, two men were walking toward a townhouse complex at 396 Driftwood Ave., along a pathway running north from Driftwood Avenue Public School.

At approximately 9:30 p.m., police said the men fired several rounds at another group of men standing near the townhouse complex. The two men then ran southbound on the path, toward the school.

Nearly a month after the shooting, police released a security video showing the incident. The black-and-white footage shows the men walking toward the left of the screen. One of the men can be seen extending his arm. Several flashes of light go off near his hand, from what appears to be a gun, before they run away.

Police released the video Thursday, hoping someone would recognize the two men.

The first suspect is described as having a thin or medium build. He was wearing dark coloured pants, a dark, hooded jacket, and dark shoes with reflective material on the heels.

The second is described as heavier, and was wearing a dark jacket with reflective markings on the collar. He was also wearing light coloured pants or jeans and dark shoes.

The men are considered armed and dangerous, police said. If located, witnesses are advised not to approach them.

Anyone with more information is asked to call police at 416-808-3100, or Crime Stoppers anonymously at 416-222-8477 (TIPS).

Warning: Video shows shots fired.
