Shots were fired in the city’s northwest end on Tuesday.
Toronto police say it happened around 9 p.m., near Jane Street and Driftwood Avenue, which is between Steeles Avenue and Finch Avenue.
Police say that officers in plain clothes, not uniforms, were involved.
There were approximately five officers present and they were with Toronto Community Housing officers, they say.
Police are searching for two, possibly three, suspects.
No injuries have been reported.
