A 25-year-old man has been charged in connection with a double stabbing in Keswick over the weekend, York Regional Police have confirmed.
The stabbing occurred at a private residence on Pasadena Drive, in the area of Glenwoods Avenue and The Queensway South, on Saturday.
Police said they were called to the home at about 8:20 p.m. following reports there was a male inside the house stabbing people with a knife.
When officers arrived at the scene, they found a 28-year-old man and a 52-year-old woman suffering from stab wounds. The suspect had fled on foot.
Both victims were taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries, according to police.
A suspect was arrested on Monday shortly before 5 p.m. when he walked into #3 District police headquarters in Sutton and turned himself in.
Jonathan Kik of Toronto has been charged with aggravated assault, assault causing bodily harm, two counts of assault with a weapon and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.
Kik is in police custody and is scheduled to make an appearance in a Newmarket court on Tuesday for a bail hearing.
