A long lineup continues to grow at city hall this morning as mourners gather to pay their final respects to long-time Toronto politician Rob Ford.

The former Toronto mayor is lying in repose at city hall and Tuesday is the last day that members of the public can say a final farewell to Ford.

Tuesday's visitation will run from 7:30 a.m. to 9 p.m.

On Monday, people from across the political spectrum visited city hall to remember the late Ward 2 councillor.

George Smitherman, Mayor John Tory, Mississauga Mayor Bonnie Crombie and Brad Duguid, Ontario's minister of Economic Development, Employment and Infrastructure, all made a stop at city hall Monday.

“Rob and I were good friends. We weren’t always on the same political side but we were good friends throughout,” Duguid said.

“I am here to pay my respects to my friend.”

Former players with the Don Bosco high school football team also came to the public visitation and shared memories of coach Ford.

A funeral service will be held for Ford on Wednesday at St. James Cathedral.

A procession is expected to begin at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday as Ford is taken from city hall to the church for the service, which is scheduled to begin at 12 p.m.

Ford, who died last week following an 18-month battle with a rare form of soft tissue cancer, will be laid to rest during a private ceremony following the funeral.
