TORONTO - A rather cheeky ad from the LCBO is running in this year's official guide to Toronto's annual gay pride festival.

While whetting appetites for various drinks and cocktails, the ad throws in terms that might need explaining to those outside the gay community.

The ad says "cheers to bears that drink beer," men who tend to be heavy set and have hairy bodies.

It also mentions "those martini maestros -- the guppies -- who work themselves something fierce," guppies being gay yuppies.

The ad also says cheers to "motorbike dykes who prefer their whisky neat and hair wild," "drag queens that hold lager with grace and elan" and "lipstick lesbians who swizzle up Moscow mules, Singapore slings or even a Tokyo tea."

Pride Week kicks off June 25 and ends July 4 with the massive Pride Parade.
