TORONTO - A nine-day janitorial strike at Toronto's Pearson International Airport is over.

The Hurley Corporation announced Saturday they'd reached a three-year contract with Local 183 of the Labourers' International Union of North America.

Some 300 janitors and cleaners belonging to the local walked off the job on Aug. 13.

Union officials had claimed wage increases hadn't kept pace with their members' workload.

In a statement, the corporation says janitorial staff will be back in uniform at Terminals 1 and 3 by 11 p.m. Saturday.

Management picked up many of the striking employees' duties during the strike.
