FALCON LAKE, Man. - A 17-year-old boy from the Toronto area is missing and presumed drowned after a canoe capsized on a Manitoba lake.

RCMP say three people were canoeing a short distance from shore on Falcon Lake this morning near the main beach area when the boat tipped.

All three abandoned the canoe, and while two were rescued, the 17-year-old is still missing.

Winnipeg radio station CJOB reports that the teen was in Manitoba for a Muslim convention in Winnipeg.

Falcon Lake is in southeastern Manitoba near the Ontario boundary.

Police say none of the people in the canoe were wearing life jackets or personal floatation devices.
