It looks like it’s time to pull the thick coats, scarves and tuques out of the closet, if you haven’t done so already.

After days of above-seasonal temperatures, southern Ontario is going to shiver through a stretch of single-digit weather, with some parts of the province already getting their first taste of snow this season.

In Toronto, daytime highs of 8 C and 9 C are expected through Saturday, with periods of rain and strong winds. Overnight lows will hover around 3 C to 5 C.

North of the city, rain and/or wet flurries are possible through the Owen Sound, Barrie and Peterborough regions late Tuesday or Wednesday morning.

Snow has already fallen in parts of northern Ontario.

In southern Ontario, normal temperatures for this time of year are highs of 12 C and lows of 4 C.
