Toronto police have arrested a one-time summer camp counsellor and charged him with possession of child pornography.

Officers from the service's sex crimes unit carried out a search on Thursday at a home in 53 Division that began in June 2006.

During that search, police seized a quantity of child pornography, the Toronto Police Service said Friday in a news release.

The suspect had worked near Kirkland Lake in 2005 and 2006. He "may have had access to children during this time. This was a 'historical' investigation and the accused no longer works there," police said.

Police say they don't think all the children in the child pornography have been identified.

David Andrew Bowden, 25, faces two counts of possessing child pornography and another two of accessing child pornography.
