A firefighter suffered a shoulder injury while responding to a fire that broke out in a midtown restaurant Thursday morning.

The one-alarm fire broke out in Dos Amigos around 3 a.m. The Mexican restaurant is located on Bathurst Street near Davenport Road.

Fire officials say the fire likely began on the ground floor before spreading to a second-floor apartment unit.

Paramedics were called to the scene after a firefighter battling the blaze injured his shoulder. His injuries are not considered serious, paramedics said.
