Peel Regional Police say there are no suspicious circumstances surrounding the death of a Russian national aboard a flight from Moscow to Toronto this week, but the exact cause is not yet known.

An autopsy on Thursday ruled out any suggestion of foul play, however, investigators will have to wait for toxicology results to say what killed the 41-year-old man. Police didn't have an estimate on how long the results may take.

The passenger, whose identity won't be released until his next of kin has been notified, died on Wednesday aboard an Aeroflot plane.

Some passengers said he was heavily intoxicated en route to Toronto's Pearson International Airport. Others said a fight broke out because his behaviour was disturbing others.

Police spent several hours talking to passengers when they landed, but haven't commented on the man's level of intoxication or the alleged disturbance.
