The death of a 25-year-old woman whose body was found a week after she went missing is not considered suspicious, police say.

Taneesha Brown was last seen alive on the evening of Jan. 12, when she left her aunt's Markham home to get some fresh air.

Brown's body was found under the ice of a pond during a large-scale ground search on Saturday.

The pond was located near Bur Oak Secondary School, where Brown was seen in security camera footage captured the evening of her disappearance.

Police have not released an official cause of death, but said in a statement Monday that her death is not considered suspicious at this time.
