Emergency crews are searching for a kayaker who went missing in Lake Ontario near Ajax on Sunday.
Ajax firefighters say the kayaker went missing from Rotary Park around 12:15 p.m., near the intersection of Lake Driveway and Harwood Avenue.
Ajax Fire, Joint Rescue Coordination Centre in Trenton, and the Toronto Police’s Marine Unit are working together to locate the missing person.
The Royal Canadian Air Force says they initially “had eyes on the missing man” but they lost contact before their helicopter arrived.
Four fire trucks are on the scene at Rotary Park.
