GEORGIAN BAY TOWNSHIP, Ont. -- A man is dead after police say a tractor-trailer plowed into a rock face in the Georgian Bay area.
Police say the truck was travelling south on Highway 400 in Georgian Bay Township around 7:45 p.m. Wednesday when it veered off the road and onto the centre median, where it hit the rock.
The driver -- 41-year-old Gurpreet Singh Gill of Brampton, Ont. -- was pronounced dead at the scene.
The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
