A young girl is dead after being hit, and then run over by a car driven by a family member in Brampton on Saturday evening.
Police said the incident happened just after 5 p.m. in the driveway of a home at 64 Hadfield Circle, near Bramalea Road and Countryside Drive.
The 15-month-old girl had no vital signs when emergency crews arrived at the scene. Const. George Tudos told CTV Toronto that the toddler was rushed to hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
After the incident, a silver BMW sat parked in the home's driveway that was cordoned off with yellow police tape.
The police investigation is ongoing, Tudos said.
