ST. CATHARINES, Ont. - A six-year-old boy from St. Catharines, Ont., is dead after being struck by a pickup truck while riding his bicycle.
Niagara Region police say the boy was riding in an intersection, at Parkview Rd. and Prospect Ave., just before 9:30 p.m. when he was hit.
Paramedics rushed the boy to St. Catharines General Hospital where he was later pronounced dead.
The 31 year-old St. Catharines man driving the pickup and his 33-year-old female passenger were both uninjured in the collision.
Police have not yet indicated if charges are being considered.
