York votes to strike: School's out… for now
Joining the already-striking University of Toronto workers, York University TAs are on strike today, after their union rejected a tentative agreement Monday night. Following the vote, York's president issued a statement saying that the majority of classes have been suspended.
McDonald's shooting: 2 victims were 'play fighting' prior to incident
The family of one of the two men who were fatally shot at a Toronto's McDonald's say the pair were "play fighting" prior to the incident. Ryan Hind, 39, and Donny Ouimette, 25, were shot over the weekend after a security guard discharged his weapon. The guard's name has not been released.
SPORTS
The Raptors beat the Philadelphia 76ers 114-103 last night, snapping a five-game losing streak. The Toronto franchise will be back on the court Wednesday night, to play the Cavaliers.
Meanwhile, the Toronto Maple Leafs are in Florida tonight, where they will play the Panthers. The puck drops at 7:30 p.m. ET.
