Police in Durham Region are looking for two suspects in connection with bank card thefts that targeted elderly victims.

Durham Regional Police said the incidents occurred between March and July of this year.

One suspect would allegedly distract a victim, telling them he found cash they dropped on the ground. The other suspect would then allegedly steal the victim’s debit card.

“The two suspects would then immediately spend the victim’s funds and withdraw cash from their accounts,” police allege in a news release on Friday.

Investigators have released photos of the wanted suspects.

Anyone with information is asked to contact police at 1-888-579-1520 ext. 2528 or Crime Stoppers anonymously at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) or www.durhamregionalcrimestoppers.ca.
