A woman in her 20s was taken to hospital after being struck by a vehicle in the city’s northeast end Monday morning.
It happened near Steeles Avenue East and Midland Avenue around 10 a.m. The woman sustained a head injury and was semi-conscious after being struck, police said.
It was not clear if the woman was struck at the intersection or somewhere nearby. Police said the driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and Traffic Services has been notified.
The eastbound lanes of Steeles Avenue East were shut down from Midland Avenue following the incident. The street reopened shortly before 2 p.m.
