Police are investigating after the body of a woman was found in a vehicle in Mississauga Friday afternoon.

The black BMW was located on Robert Speck Parkway, near Hurontario Street. Peel Regional Police spokesperson Const. George Tudos says the vehicle appears to be related to a missing person case from Thursday.

He says the female victim suffered obvious signs of trauma but police have not confirmed her cause of death. Police will not release the woman’s name until next of kin have been notified.

Homicide investigators have been called to the scene.

Police say there is no public safety concern in connection with the investigation.

On Thursday, police asked the public for help to locate Ming-Chien (Teresa) Hsin. Police say she was last seen on Wednesday at approximately 4:30 p.m. in the area of Rathburn Road and Hurontario Street. At the time, she may have been driving her 2008 black BMW with the licence plate RELAX88.

Police and Hsin’s family say her disappearance is out of character.
