Toronto police say they are searching for suspects after a 63-year-old woman was beaten to the point she lost consciousness and carjacked in York last week.

The woman told police she was visiting a home near Keele Street and Beechborough Avenue shortly after 7 p.m. on Nov. 16 when two people approached her from behind as she got out of her SUV.

Police allege the two men punched the woman in the face and kicked her, causing her to lose consciousness and fall to the ground.

They said the two men got into the woman’s SUV and fled toward Trethewey Drive.

Police are searching for a vehicle described as a black 2008 Lexus RX350 with the Ontario license plate number BNFH022. A description of the suspects was not immediately provided.

Anyone with information is being asked to call police at 416-808-1200 or Crime Stoppers anonymously at 416-222-TIPS (8477).
