A woman has been rushed to hospital after being pulled from a backyard pool in Newmarket without vital signs.
It happened shortly on Arnold Crescent, near Alexander Road and Davis Drive, sometime before 5 p.m.
Police in York Region say they responded to the home after receiving a report that someone had drowned.
They say paramedics performed CPR on the victim after she was pulled from the pool.
The victim, who is believed to be 19 years old, is currently being treated in hospital.
