TORONTO - Two-time champion Wise Dan tops the list of 31 horses nominated for next month's Grade 1 $1-million Ricoh Woodbine Mile.

The race will be held Sept. 13 at Woodbine Racetrack.

Wise Dan won this event in 2012 and '13, each time going on to capture the Breeders' Cup Mile en route to being named North America's horse of the year.

Trainer Charles LoPresti said Thursday that, barring something unforeseen, Wise Dan will make his 2015 debut next month at Woodbine.

The eight-year-old gelding has been sidelined since last October with a right front foot injury.

Among the other nominees are American-based Obviously as well as Canadian horses Kaigun and Grand Arch.
