TORONTO - Officials say a WestJet plane with mechanical issues was met with emergency crews as it landed in Toronto this morning.
Pearson Airport spokeswoman Trish Krale confirmed the plane "landed safely" but did not say if the landing was unscheduled.
Peel police say a WestJet plane had called in with mechanical problems a little after 7 a.m.
WestJet did not immediately respond to requests for comment.
There are no immediate details about where the plane originated or how many people were on board.
