TORONTO - One Canadian university has made Playboy magazine's list of the Top 10 party schools.
The University of Western Ontario in London is ranked fourth on the list.
The University of Colorado at Boulder is No. 1, followed by Pennsylvania State University and Arizona State University.
John Doerksen, Western's vice-provost, says he's surprised the school made the list.
He says the university has made a "focused effort" in the past 15 years to build its academic profile.
Playboy sought input from students, alumni and fans of the magazine's social media pages to determine the rankings.
The universities' male-female ratios, academics, winning sports teams and their proximity to beaches, ski slopes and lively music scenes were all factors.
