The Victoria Day long weekend is considered an unofficial kick-off to summer as many opt to leave the city for cottage country. For those who're in Toronto for the Victoria Day holiday, CTVNews.ca has put together this look at what’s open and closed around the town.
After a last minute deal was struck with its employees’ union, the LCBO remains open Saturday and Sunday, but will be shut as usual on Monday.
Beer stores will also be closed on Victoria Day, though a select number of beer stores are staying open for extended hours on Sunday.
Government offices, libraries, schools and banks will be closed Monday, and there will be no garbage pick-up or mail delivery either.
Most retailers, grocery stores and shopping malls, including Fairview Mall, Yorkdale Shopping Centre and Sherway Gardens will be also closed Monday.
