Toronto police are asking for the public's assistance to identify an Uber driver accused of sexual assault.
Investigators said a woman hailed an Uber vehicle through the ride sharing app on Tuesday, in the area of Yonge Street and Eglinton Avenue.
The driver took the woman to her home in the Lawrence Avenue West and Avenue Road area. Police allege that, when they arrived, he sexually assaulted the passenger.
The man has been described as between the ages of 26 and 30, with short, black spiked hair, and a short chin-strap beard. His Uber profile is listed as "Amritpal," police said.
