Two teen boys and a 30-year-old man are facing a combined 91 charges in connection with a rash of robberies at retail stores across Toronto and York region.

According to police, the offences took place between Sept. 16 and Oct. 15 and included three robberies in York Region and 14 robberies in Toronto.

In each incident, three people would enter a retail shop wearing disguises and demand money from employees at gunpoint.

Following an investigation, police arrested two 16-year-old boys on Oct. 17.

One of the teens was charged with 12 counts of robbery while armed with a firearm, four counts of robbery and 16 counts of disguise with intent.

The second teen was charged with nine counts of robbery while armed with a firearm, four counts of robbery and 13 counts of disguise with intent.

Both of the teens -- who cannot be named under the provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act – were expected to appear in court on Tuesday.

A third suspect, identified as 30-year-old Toronto resident Robert Scott Watson, was arrested on Oct. 19.

He has been charged with 13 counts of robbery while armed with a firearm, four counts of robbery, 13 counts of disguise with intent, two counts of failure to comply with probation and possession of property obtained by crime under $5000.

He is expected to make an appearance in court on Nov. 29.
