ORILLIA, Ont. - Provincial police say two Toronto surgeons are facing fraud charges for sums totalling more than $200,000.

OPP says the two men were working as oral surgeons in the department of dentistry at Mount Sinai hospital at the time of the alleged offences.

Police say the surgeons allegedly billed the provincial health system for surgeries at which they were not present, and added insured billings to surgeries.

Police say Dr. George Sandor was arrested in Finland, where he had moved shortly after the investigation began.

He was brought back to Canada and is now facing three counts of fraud for sums totalling more than $68,000.

Police say Dr. Cameron Clokie was arrested earlier this month and is facing two counts of fraud for values totalling more than $139,000.
