Toronto police have identified one of two suspects wanted in connection with an abduction and gang sexual assault investigation.

The incident happened on Monday at approximately 4 a.m. According to police, a 25-year-old woman and two of her friends were in the area of Dundas Street West and Winston Churchill Boulevard when they ran into vehicle troubles.

Police say two men in a van pulled up and offered the women assistance. The vehicle remained inoperable, and the men offered the women a ride home.

While in the van, police allege one woman was sexually assaulted.

At some point, police say the van stopped and two of the women were allowed to leave. The third woman, however, was allegedly abducted and the van fled the area, police say. She was later allegedly sexually assaulted by two men before escaping, according to police.

Investigators say a passerby contacted them after hearing a woman call for help in the area of Weston Road and Black Creek Drive.

Police have identified one of the suspects as Jimmy Minani, 36, of Toronto. He is wanted on a number of charges including abduction, two counts of gang sexual assault and forcible confinement.

Police say he may be driving an older-model red Audi and is known to frequent the area of Black Creek Drive and Weston Road.

The second suspect -- who is known as "Devon" -- is described as black, between 6'0" and 6'2" tall with a large build. Police say he was last seen wearing a hoodie, dark jeans and a blue baseball cap.
