BRANDON, Man. - RCMP are investigating the death of a Toronto cyclist who was hit by an SUV in western Manitoba.

Police say the 24-year-old man died last night in a Brandon hospital of his injuries.

The man was riding just west of the city when he was hit by the vehicle that was travelling in the same direction.

The woman who was driving and her three passengers were not injured in the collision.

RCMP say it is not clear if the cyclist was wearing a helmet and alcohol is not considered a factor.

The man's name has not been released.
