Three men are facing a combined 35 charges after a rifle was allegedly pointed at a group of people outside an Oshawa convenience store.

Shortly before midnight on Sept. 30, Durham Regional police officers received a call about a person armed with a firearm near Simcoe Street South and First Avenue.

Following a search of the van, police said they found a Kel Tec 9mm rifle was underneath a seat and an undisclosed quantity of drugs.

Investigators later determined that the weapon believed to have been used in the incident had not been discharged.
