Police say a bottle of “TNT Explosive Perfume” was behind an evacuation order in a Mississauga neighbourhood Friday morning.
A resident found the perfume on the front porch of a home at approximately 7:30 a.m. and alerted police.
The perfume is contained in a red bottle bound by white wires that resembles explosives.
Peel police evacuated a number of homes in the Winston Churchill Boulevard and Unity Drive area as the explosive disposal unit investigated the suspicious object.
Police said they will launch a criminal investigation into public mischief.
