Police are searching for a male suspect after three people were wounded in a shooting outside a Woodbridge lounge late Monday night.

It happened outside the Novantesimo Minuto or ‘90 Minutes Sports Bar’ on Pine Valley Drive, near Highway 7, at around 11:30 p.m.

York Regional Police says they were called to the sports bar after receiving reports of gunfire in the area.

When they arrived, they found three people – a 29-year-old Toronto man, a 33-year-old Toronto man and a 37-year-old Vaughan man – all suffering from gunshot wounds.

They were transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

On Tuesday morning, York Regional Police confirmed one victim had been released from hospital. The two others are still receiving treatment.

Investigators believe the shooting was targeted.

“The three men were all standing outside the sports club at the time, shots were fired and then he quickly left the area – so we do believe this was targeted,” Const. Andy Pattenden told CP24 Tuesday morning. “That said, now someone with a firearm is out in our community… Now he may have been targeting certain people, but we need to find out who this person is and get them in custody.”

Pattenden said officers have set up a command post near the sports bar and will be in the area all day investigating.

He said the suspect was last seen wearing dark clothing. He has not been apprehended.

“What we really need now though is the public’s help. We need people to come forward. We know there were people in the area at the time. If you haven’t spoken to our investigators yet, we need you to come forward and tell us some more information about what you saw,” Pattenden said, adding that dashboard camera footage has been helpful to police in recent investigations.

“If anyone was driving around the area of Highway 7 and Pine Valley Drive last night between 11 and 11:30, we want to hear from you. If you had a dash cam running, you may have caught some footage of the suspect either arriving to or leaving the scene,” he said.

Anyone with new information is being asked to call police or Crime Stoppers.
