Police have released surveillance camera footage and a suspect description in connection with a 2014 stabbing case.

Police were called to a home in the area of Davis and Huron Heights Drives in Newmarket, at approximately 10:30 p.m. on Feb. 12, 2014. When they arrived, they found two male victims suffering from stab wounds.

One of the stabbing victims, 65-year-old Ronidy Roseborough, succumbed to his injuries. The second was treated in hospital and survived. A week after the stabbing, 38-year-old John Jansen was arrested and charged with first degree murder and attempted murder.

On Monday, York Regional Police said they believe there were additional suspects involved in the incident. They have not said how many people they believe to be involved, but released a description of one suspect, along with surveillance video of a vehicle seen nearby on the night of the stabbing.

Officers are looking for a 6-foot-tall man with dark olive skin, who could be anywhere from 25 to 45 years old.

They’re also looking for a dark-coloured Infiniti QX56 with a chrome strip across the lower half of the vehicle. The SUV can be seen driving past an intersection in the video police posted to YouTube.
