Event closures
The one-year countdown to the PanAm Games begins, but roads will be closed as a result.
On July 12, Bay Street will be closed from Dundas Street to Queen Street. Hagerman Street will be closed from Elizabeth Street to Bay Street. Elizabeth Street will be closed from Dundas Street to Hagerman Street. Albert Street will be closed from Bay Street to James Street, and James Street will be closed from Albert Street to Queen Street West.
The Toronto Fringe Festival means Markham Street East will be closed from Bathurst to Lennox Streets all weekend.
Eastbound lanes of the Gardiner Expressway and northbound lanes of the Don Valley Parkway will be closed on Sunday for the Toronto Triathalon. Full details are available online.
The installation of race barriers and debris fences means that two lanes each westbound and eastbound on Lake Shore Boulevard will be closed from Strachan Avenue to British Columbia Drive. The closures are in effect from 9:30 p.m. until 11:59 p.m.
Lake Shore Boulevard closures
In addition to the Honda Indy closures, one westbound lane will be occupied due to the replacement of power lines from Dowling Avenue to Parkside Drive, every day from 8 p.m. to 8 a.m. until July 18.
From Cherry Street to the Don Roadway, the eastbound and westbound centre and right lanes are occupied due to Gardiner Expressway repairs, every day from 11 p.m. to 6:30 a.m.
The westbound passing lane will be occupied from Rees Street to Van De Water Crescent by tunnel construction from 9 a.m. to midnight every day until the end of February 2015.
Westbound and eastbound, Lake Shore will be down to one lane at a time between Yonge St. and Windermere Ave. 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily until Tuesday, July 15.
Until Sunday, Aug. 31, one lane eastbound and one lane westbound will be occupied due to TTC Leslie Street Connection Track Project, 24 hours a day.
Westbound lanes from Park Lawn Road to Humber River will be occupied by construction 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. until Wednesday, July 30.
Gardiner Expressway closures
The eastbound and westbound left lanes will be occupied by construction daily from midnight to noon between Ellis Avenue and Dufferin Street.
The eastbound and westbound left shoulder and right shoulder lanes will be occupied by long-term construction from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily, between Park Lawn Road and Humber River.
TTC closures and diversions
On the Bloor-Danforth line, subway service will start at noon on Sunday between St. George and Pape stations, but shuttle buses will run at street level until the trains are running again.
Train service on the Yonge-University-Spadina line will end early between Eglinton and Finch Stations, but shuttle buses will run until the usual end of service.
