  • Durham Regional Police and the Canadian Military have detonated a mortar round that was discovered in Intrepid Park near the Whitby-Oshawa border yesterday.
  • One person is in custody after a vehicle hit a pole and brought down hydro wires near Finch Avenue East and Victoria Park Avenue early this morning.
  • Police are investigating after a man was shot multiple times on George Street near Dundas Street last night.

WEATHER WATCH:

Mainly sunny skies are expected for today with a high of 29 degrees, feeling like 34 degrees with the humidity. There is a 60 percent chance of showers and risk of a thunderstorm later this evening.

TRAFFIC WOES:

  • Eastbound and Westbound lanes of Finch Avenue West at Bathurst Street will be occupied this week from 7:00AM-4:00PM due to utility repairs.
  • One Eastbound lane on Lake Shore Boulevard from Cherry Street to Don Roadway will be occupied this morning for rehabilitation of the Gardiner Expressway.
