Power has been restored to the approximately 16,000 customers affected by a power outage in the Beaches neighbourhood Thursday morning.
Power was out in parts of the area bordered by St. Clair Avenue, the Don Valley Parkway, Lake Ontario and Victoria Park Avenue from 6:30 a.m. until shortly before 10 a.m.
Hydro One told CTV Toronto that a piece of transformer equipment failed, knocking out the power.
The Toronto District School Board said 15 schools were without power for several hours, but there were no closures.
