Lock it before you stick it in your pocket.

That's the message Toronto police have for cellphone users who accidentally dial 911. The force is launching a campaign against "pocket dialing" in an effort to prevent unintentional calls to emergency operators.

Police say 911 workers received 107,000 pocket-dials and 116,000 misdialed calls last year.

Typically, pocket dialing occurs when a cellphone user nudges or inadvertently hits a button on their phone that's been programmed to dial 911.

In a call released by Toronto police, one man mistakenly dials 911 and his phone proceeds to play a song by hip-hop stars Drake and Rihanna.

"My bad," the cell owner said when the operator called him back. "I call you guys like every day, man. It's an accident."

To prevent this, police recommend that cellphone owners lock their phone's keypad before storing it in a pocket or bag.
