Police have released surveillance camera images of a suspect in a bank robbery near Yorkville last month.

The man entered a branch in the Bloor Street and Bedford Avenue area at around 12:10 p.m. on August 26.

Once inside, police say the man waited in line and then approached a teller and demanded a specific amount of cash.

The teller then handed over some money and the man demanded more, police allege.

At that point, police say that the man walked over to the bank manager’s office and repeated his demand.

The man was then given another quantity of money, at which point he fled the scene.

He is described as white, in his late 30s to 40s, about five-foot-eight to five-foot-ten with a tattoo sleeve on his left arm. He was last seen wearing black clothing, including a black H VOL–ALLMAX and a black New York Yankees baseball cap. He was also seen carrying a black knapsack with white piping.

The surveillance camera images released by police appear to show the suspect as he entered a subway station.
