A video camera caught a couple stealing cash from several cash registers at a camping store in Barrie over the weekend and now police say they suspect the two are involved in other robberies throughout Ontario and New Brunswick.

A man and woman were caught on a video surveillance camera at Cabela’s fishing and camping store on Sunday, police said.

The two can be seen on tape stealing money from various cash registers at the front of the store, which is located at Highway 400 and Mapleview Drive, according to police.

The video shows the man manipulating the locks on the registers and taking money out of the till while the woman he was with stood by, essentially covering up what he was doing.

Police said they fled the scene in a dark minivan, possibly a Chevrolet Montana.

Investigators said they believe the suspects may have been planning the robbery since May and that they may have committed similar thefts at Home Depot, Ardene and Bass Pro Shops throughout Ontario and New Brunswick.
