Police are searching for a suspect after a woman was sexually assaulted near the city’s St. James Town neighbourhood.

Investigators allege that a 47-year-old woman was walking southbound on Sherbourne Street, just south of Bloor Street East, on Sunday at around 9:15 a.m. when she was approach by a man.

The woman told police that the man attempted to start a conversation with her and that she was sexually assaulted.

Police describe the suspect as a male with a light brown complexion who is between 35 and 45 years old, and approximately 140 to 150 pounds with a slim build. He was last seen wearing a burgundy T-shirt and jeans.
