Toronto police say they are trying to identify a suspect wanted in connection with a bank robbery in Scarborough.

According to investigators, a suspect entered a bank location in the area of Sheppard Avenue East and Victoria Park Avenue on Sept. 13 shortly before 4:30 p.m.

Police said the man lined up and waited for the next teller to become available. The man then approached a teller, made a demand for cash and indicated he had a gun in his pocket.

He fled the bank with an undisclosed quantity of money.

The suspect is described as a man in his mid-to-late 40s, between five-foot-eight and five-foot-ten with long brown hair and a beard. He was last seen wearing a black baseball cap with white writing and a black and white jacket.

In an effort to identify a suspect, police have released a security camera image of a man.
