Toronto police have arrested a 50-year-old man in connection with a sexual assault that took place on the Bloor subway line.

Police say a 17-year-old girl was sexually assaulted on two separate occasions by the same man while on the subway.

The first incident happened on Oct. 30 around 7 a.m., while riding the Bloor Street subway line. The teenager was again sexually assaulted one week later, on Nov. 6, on the same subway line.

This week, the victim was standing on the Jane Street subway platform when she was again approached by the man, but escaped and called for help.

Const. Wendy Drummond said a man was arrested by plainclothes officers at the Jane Station on Wednesday.

Victor Torrejon Huaman, 50, faces three counts of sexual assault and one count of criminal harassment.

He is scheduled to appear in Toronto court on Thursday.
